Fire Risk Prevention
The risk of fire in horticultural businesses should not be underestimated. Numerous potential hazards, such as outdated and highly flammable shade materials, improperly stored plastic pots, and large quantities of cardboard packaging materials, can create a significant fire load. Even simple measures can help reduce the risk of fire within the business.
Hail Risk Prevention
Hail damage poses a significant risk to horticultural businesses, as it can severely affect plants, buildings, and infrastructure. To minimize crop losses and financial setbacks, targeted preventive measures and comprehensive insurance coverage are essential.
Loss Prevention in the Event of a Claim
Claims can pose a significant risk to businesses, as they can severely impact both operations and financial stability. From damage to infrastructure to technical failures, the consequences can be far-reaching without the right protective measures and a swift response. To minimize financial losses and business interruptions, preventive measures and comprehensive insurance coverage are essential.
Storm Risk Prevention
In recent years, Germany has been hit by a major storm at the beginning of the year every two years, causing significant damage. In February 2022, Storm Zeynep struck, followed by Storm Sabine in February 2020 and Storm Friederike in January 2018. In addition, summer storms have become increasingly frequent in recent years. These storms pose a significant threat to horticultural facilities, whether in greenhouses or outdoors. The following measures can help you make your greenhouse or polytunnel more resistant to storms.
Flood Risk Prevention
The risk of flooding has increased in recent years in correlation with climate change and is expected to pose an increasing threat in the years ahead. Heavy rainfall, overflowing rivers, and rising sea levels are increasingly leading to extreme flooding events. Even regions that have rarely been affected in the past are becoming increasingly vulnerable.
Snow Load Damage Prevention
Winter is approaching, and with it comes the risk of snow load damage to greenhouses. Such damage can quickly result in significant costs, yet simple measures are often enough to prevent it. Taking action early helps keep your business safe. We show you how to protect your greenhouses effectively against snow and cold.
